Welcome to QuizChamp, a general knowledge quiz application developed by FrostyFrozen. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.
By using QuizChamp, you agree to the terms described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can contact us at any time using the details provided at the end of this document.
Information We Collect
QuizChamp itself does not ask you to create an account and does not directly collect your name, email address, or payment information.
QuizChamp now displays ads served through Google AdMob. To serve, measure, and personalize those ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK embedded in the app automatically collects certain information from your device. This may include:
IP address — used for general location and fraud prevention
App activity & ad interaction data — impressions, clicks, and in-app events related to ads
Device & diagnostic information — device model, OS version, crash and performance logs
Approximate location — derived from IP address or, where permitted, device location signals
This information is collected and processed by Google, not stored on QuizChamp's own servers, since the app has no backend that retains user data. Ad ID collection is optional at the OS level — you can reset or opt out of it at any time using your device's ad settings, described in the "Your Choices" section below.
Third-Party Services
QuizChamp integrates Google AdMob to display in-app advertising. AdMob is a Google service, and its collection and use of information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and, where applicable, How Google uses information from partner sites.
AdMob and its ad-network partners may use cookies, mobile ad identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud. Depending on your settings and region, ads shown may be personalized (based on your interests and activity) or non-personalized.
QuizChamp does not sell your personal information. Any data shared with Google through AdMob is shared solely for the purpose of delivering, measuring, and securing advertising within the app.
Your Choices & Ad Settings
You have control over ad personalization and identifiers at the device level:
Opt out of personalized ads — Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
EEA / UK / Switzerland users — a consent message (via Google's User Messaging Platform) lets you choose whether personal data is used to serve ads
Google's own controls — visit adssettings.google.com to manage how Google personalizes ads across its services
Turning these settings off does not stop ads from appearing, but limits how they are personalized.
Internet Access
QuizChamp requests internet permission to load quiz question content and to request, display, and measure ads through Google AdMob. Quiz content itself is fetched from a publicly accessible source and does not involve the transmission of any user data.
Network requests made by the Google Mobile Ads SDK do transmit the ad- and device-related information described in the "Information We Collect" section above, encrypted in transit via TLS, to Google's ad servers.
Children's Privacy
QuizChamp is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and we do not knowingly serve personalized (interest-based) advertising to users under 13, in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of QuizChamp after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
